Detail painting on the Enterprise is done, aside from the bussard domes, but that comes later. Freehanded with various Model Air colors.
Not accurate or comprehensive, but good enough for me ... Will attach the nacelles and seal it with Future, along with the Bird of Prey, soon.

Cheers

That looks great. Especially the Dish. Really nice.

Thanks Shawn. :)

I almost forgot, for the Enterprise detail colors:

Endcaps, impulse deck, etc. - Vallejo Model Air Agressor Grey
Nacelle loops - Model Air Light Ghost Grey - I also used this for the bridge dome and planetary sensor. I think straight white is too stark.
Neck stripe - Model Air Pale Blue
Dish - A mix of Model Air Copper and Rust
Deflector rings - Same mix as above with a little Bright Brass added.

Painting on the D7 is done!

I airbrushed the underside with a 50/50 mix of Tamiya Cockpit Green (XF-71) and Flat White (XF-2). What I couldn't mask I did by hand.

And for the final touches some Vallejo Metal Color Chrome. I wasn't sure if this would hand brush well, but I'm really happy with the result. I'd recommend it.

Wow, the Klingon is the best of the three. Really nice.

Indeed it is and the D7 is one of my favorite designs. Plus it's easier to mask and spray, and it helps that the ship is a bit more accurate than the others.

The D7 and Bird of Prey have been "Futured." I couldn't really capture the BoP on camera since it was already shiny. Plus all that metal color seems to really screw with the focus.

I usually spray Future around 18-20 PSI and pull back a couple more inches than usual. I had a bit of a panic moment when things started to turn cloudy, but then I remembered that can happen if you put just a little too much down too fast. Fortunately, that disappears as it dries and so it did. I need to be better at remembering stuff ... Both go into the hot box for a couple days.

The Enterprise nacelles are cemented and the gaps filled using Apoxie Sculpt so I wouldn't make as much of a mess. Took a little manipulation to get them straight.

Now I play the waiting game.

Good to know about the future. I'm thinking about using that on my model when I get to that point.

It's good stuff. Just know that you have to put it on in MULTIPLE thin coats. Your compressor will get a workout for a big kit. :D

Nacelles blended in, touched up and finally a coat of Future for the Enterprise.

When everything dries, decals.
