Re: Wreaked Zaku II diorama

Work on the Zaku II is progressing well with assembly and painting mostly done on the inner skeleton. Just as I've got most of the the battle damage done on the exterior armor. Now I've decided against adding any damage to the right arm and left leg. Now I'm going to have to remove all of the exteri...

Wreaked Zaku II diorama

After building many Bandai Master Grade models over the years I've decided to do something different with one of them for a change. Normally I build each one looking it's best then put it in the display case with the others. However this time I'm building a Zaku II wreak diorama. Though the idea of ...

Re: Bandai Master Grade Strike Freedom Gundam

Assembly is completed on the Strike Freedom Gundam and I just need to do a few touch ups for it to be done. I've also went ahead and put on the wing effect panels to see how they look in place. Now I also the usual problem we face of where I'm going to put it once it's done. Due to the wing effect p...

Re: Bandai Master Grade Strike Freedom Gundam

With most of the armor in place I've decided to go ahead and to see how the support structure for the dragoon system is going to work out. Now just with one side done I can see that it's around two feet wide but I expect once I've got the wings in place and all the rods adjusted it won't be spread o...

Re: Bandai Master Grade Strike Freedom Gundam

I've got the inner skeleton for the Strike Freedom Gundam built and painted. I've also got the panel lines blackened leaving only a few silver details left to paint. I mixed up my own custom gold paint using acrylic insignia yellow and gold. Then once I was to that point I began painting and putting...

Re: Bandai Master Grade Collection

The final adversary set is the newest in my collection and also covers three different machines used in the first and most famous rivalry within the Gundam universe. This is Amuro Ray's RX-78-2 Gundam and Char Aznable's Zaku II and Gelgoog. Now the Gundam and Zaku II are recent builds with their own...

Re: Mold making tips and techniques

Making the second half of the mold Also Mr Murphy kicked my plans in the butt again at this point. I made the form to big and used most of the suppied mix while making the first part of the mold. Not having enough mix to finish I had to come up with a solution otherwise I would have to by more mold ...

Mold making tips and techniques

A recent project has had me focusing on the skills I have learned about casting my own resin parts. This made me decide to share some of the tricks and techniques I've picked up since I've started doing this. Now this comes in real handy when you need to make multiple identical parts for a project. ...

Re: New Acquistions

My latest accusation is a Bandai Master Grade Zaku II. Which is now the third Zaku II but will also give me the hands I need for my Strike Freedom Gundam. As for the rest I'm going to build it as a destroyed Mobile Suit. I'm thinking along the lines of the following scenario. The Zaku II has been si...

Re: Bandai Master Grade Strike Freedom Gundam

I've got both the bases assembled for the Strike Freedom Gundam. After building the aftermarket base I decided to temporarily put together the one that came with the Gundam so I could compare the two. It's easy to see that the new base is taller, wider, and just more bulker than the kit supplied one...
